Comments from the Editor
Among the characteristics which distinguish the Religious
Research Association from other academic associations are its applied
focus and the opportunities it offers for academics and denomination-based
researchers to share their findings with each other.
The Review of Religious Research, associated with the Religious Research Association, publishes quarterly issues of papers and book reviews on religious practices, beliefs, organizational or membership dynamics, that has potential relevance to the present and future of religious trends and groups. The Review focuses on sociological research, reflection, and reviews, but also publishes work done in the other social sciences.
As the editor of the Review of Religious Research, I want to encourage not only submission of manuscripts for articles and briefer research notes, which will go through review, but also shorter short denominational/ institutional research reports (500 words maximum) that I will include in the journal as appropriate. Denominational researchers who wish to have one or more of their
offices studies profiled in this way are invited to submit a summary,
using as a guide the form on the RRA
website.
We urge denominational researchers to take advantage of this
opportunity to join in sharing their insights and findings with other RRR
readers of similar interests.
The book review editor of
RRR is Paul J. Olson. Books for review should be sent to him
at paul.olson@briarcliff.edu. Persons wishing to serve
