TREASURER'S REPORT
In the absence of Treasurer Sandra Rajcok, Martin Bradley, Chairman of the Finance Committee, submitted her written report (Exhibit II). He called attention to the fact that, due to a failure to pursue the possibility of institutional contributions as in former years, receipts from this source were about $1,000 less than previously. "The Board of Directors of the Religious Research Association invites the membership of the Association in Annual Meeting, June 19, 1970, Chicago, Illinois, to join in expressions of deep gratitude to the following retiring members of the Board of Directors:
Lauris Whitman has been associated with the RRA and its development since its very beginning. Only a careful gleaning of the archives could detail the offices he has held and the responsibilities he has assumed. He is truly one of the "pioneers" of religious research and retires this year as Chairman of Membership and Development.
Sandra Rajcok retires this year as official Treasurer and "unofficial executive secretary" of RRA. Her unusual energy, professional competency and committed initiative have demonstrably brought RRA in the last few years to its present status of a widely recognized, professionally able Association.
Ross Scherer, retiring as director-at-large, has served ably in numerous roles on the Board. We are grateful that he continues in the important post of Managing Editor of the Review of Religious Research.
The adoption of this resolution carries with it instructions to the Secretary of the Association to convey the full text of the resolution to the above named, retiring members of the Board."
VOTED the adoption of the above resolution.
