The governing body of the Religious Research Association is the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors meets before the Annual Meeting of the Association. In the early years, when the Association was known as the Religious Research Fellowship, they in June at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and then held a second meeting during the Winter, usually in or around New York City.
After the RRA was formed, the organization moved to an annual meeting, moving from city to city. The idea of twice annual Board Meetings, however, was retained. In fact, in many years they met more frequently. This was possible because many of the Board members were employed by religious organizations with headquarters in or around New York. As the composition of the Board became more diverse and geographically dispersed, the cost of travel to a meeting outside the context of the Annual Meeting became prohibitive. This resulted in the Board initiating an meeting via a telephone conference call. This practice was dropped only in 1995 and the Board now conducts its business during the annual meeting.
You can access Board Minutes by clinking on the year in the box below. Within each year, minutes are organized by date from the earliest meeting. The dates of the meetings are indicated in a short hyperlinked index at the top of the document. Where Board Meeting Agendas are available, they appear before the meeting minutes.
As is the case with other documents in this Archive, the RRA Board
minutes were reproduced, in as far as possible, in the format of the
original.
Currently,
the minutes are not available. We appreciate your patience as we work
toward posting this information.
